Exciting summer weeks with Schmidolin

Generally, dragons have the reputation of being scary and dangerous. But with the holiday dragon of Zell am See-Kaprun everything is different. 'Schmidolin' happens to be a rather popular figure and a real star amongst the kids. This is no coincidence, since the little guy always has many surprises up the sleeve for the little guests of the region. And during the summer months his programme is especially diversified.

Children can start their week with Schmidolin on Schmittenhöhe. The fluffy dragon takes kids on an exciting hiking tour through the nature of the local mountain of Zell and shows them what the 2,000-metre-high mountain has to offer. On Tuesday boredom doesn't stand a chance either: at lama trekking the hoofed animals from the Andes are sure to win the hearts of their young travelling companions within no time at all.

On Wednesday Schmidolin and his friends follow in the tracks of the gold washers and try their luck themselves. On Thursday they meet on the shore of Lake Zell for an amazing adventure on the waves including a treasure hunt. The week ends with a visit to a farm where the children can get to know the rural life and make friends with the cows, sheep and all the other animals living at the farm.

• MONDAY
  Adventure hike on the Schmittenhöhe
  Adventurous hike over the high meadows and secretive woods of the Schmittenhöhe. Schmidolin, the green dragon is going with you!

• TUESDAY
  Hiking with lamas - for kids only!
  Exciting adventure with animal friends. The llamas are appointed as expedition leaders of our teams and are fun, children friendly hiking pals. Dam building, playing by the river.
  Location: Fun & Trekking Sport Kaprun
  Meeting Point: 09.10 am at Zeller Carpark Hallenbad - returning: 3.00 pm

• WEDNESDAY
  Kids in the tracks of gold diggers
  Gold washing and searching for semi precious stones in the Kaprun valley. Find your own personal lucky stone and paint it! Bring a snack and a drink! Don´t forget money for an ice cream!

  Meeting Point: 09.10 am at Zeller Carpark Hallenbad - returning: 3.00 pm

• THURSDAY
  Kids lake adventure with treasure hunting
  Boat trip, treasure hunting on the shore of the crystal clear Zell am See lake. Float building, Pirates....
  Location: Zell am See Funsport or Schmitten
  Meeting Point: 09.30 am at Zeller Carpark Hallenbad - returning: 2.45 pm

• FRIDAY
  Kids on the farm
  Self made always tastes he best! Making one´s own bread, butter or cheese. Feeding and watching the animals. Farm games.
  Location: Zell am See, eg. AUBAUER
  Meeting Point: 09.30 am at Zeller Carpark Hallenbad - returning: 2.45 pm

Bad weather programme:
In case it is raining heavily, the programme will be held in the Kaprun Optimum or in the Zell am See indoor swimming pool complex.
