Adventures for all ages
On the local mountain in Zell am See a sensational hiking area awaits all the family. The routes are wonderful and easy to negotiate. Stroll along the altitude promenade trail, or on Pinzgau’s walking path. The Sisi circuit path on the Schmittenhöhe is worth a visit too.
Or immerse yourself in the exciting realm of the Hohe Tauern on the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. Guides and hiking guides take you with them on a tour through the rocks, ice and low temperatures. The family mountain the Maiskogel in Kaprun is located deep in the valley and offers more wonderful hiking trails through Pinzgau’s grass mountains. Take a bit of time to enjoy a leisurely rest in typical Austrian inns. Reinvigorated with a ‘traditional’ snack, your hike will go all the better.
We can provide ‘Insider Tips’ for more tours in the surrounding mountain realm.
Explore the natural surroundings by bike
Get into the saddle and head out on a bike tour. Between the glaciers, mountain and lake there are so many cycle routes available for you.
From a leisurely cycle tour on signposted routes or challenging mountain bike tours on routes that are marked out in green on the respective signposts – there is something for everyone. Or opt for longer road bike tour along the Tauern Cycle Trail.
In addition, on the Kitzsteinhorn you will also come across the Geißstein Trail, Wüstlau Trail and Bachler Trail, which have various difficulty levels available. Jumps, wide bends and challenging sections set your cycling heart racing.
In crystal-clear Lake Zell
One of the finest and purest lakes which has drinking water quality waters provides refreshment in the summer – Lake Zell. Three outdoor pools – Zell am See, Thumersbach and Schüttdorf bathing lakes – are spread out around the lake area and offer non-stop swimming fun for all the family.
What could be nicer after an adventure-packed excursion on the mountain than jumping into the cool waters. Bring your day to a relaxing close.
In Martha’s forest workshop
